Balance of floating bodies

Objects submerged in water body having its own gravity (FG), who worked fertikal down and buoyancy (FB), which works vertically upward. Large buoyant force equal to the weight of liquid on the move objects. Gravity works on body weight (G); and buoyancy work at the center of buoyancy (B), together with the centers of gravity of liquid on the move objects.
FG> FB submerged object
        FG = FB flying objects (submerged)
        FG <FB floating objects
A body floating in keseibangan stable if the center weight (G) is under the center of buoyancy (B). floating heavy tertetu conditions may also in stable equilibrium even if the center weight (G) is above the center of buoyancy (B). conditions of stability of floating bodies can be in the know based on high metasentrum, which can be calculated by the following formula.
  GM  = B M – BG
    BM = 10/V
   BG = OG – OB
By:
             GM: high metasentrum
             Io: the moment of inertia visible objects that are cut off the liquid surface
             V: Volume of liquid in pinhakan objects
             BG: the distance between the centers of gravity and center of buoyancy
             OG: the distance between the centers of gravity and basic objects
             OB: the distance between the center of buoyancy and basic
Where: GM> 0 stable objects
                  GM = 0 bnda in a stable neutral
                  GM <0 unstable objects.

Sample questions
Problem 1
Stone in the air have weight 500 N, were weighed in water is 300 N, Compute volumedan relatively new meeting.

Completion
Buoyant force (FB) is equal to the difference between the weight of stone in the air and in water.

               FB = W in the air - W in water
                    500-300 = 200 N

       According to the law of Archimedes, buoyancy (FB) is there with the heavy water on the move stone. The weight of water that move the stone (FB) is the same as multiplying the volume of water on the move (V) and the density of water.

               FB = y V = 1000x9, 81xV = 9810V

From both the value of FB at the top.
               200 = 9810 V = 0.0204 m

The volume of water is equal to the volume of stone, so the volume is V = 0.0204m.berat stone stone in the air is equal to the weight of the volume multiply the types of rock in the rock.

W in water = y p g V = V

                500 = p x 9.81 x 0.0204

P = 250 kg / m =.> S = p / pwater = 250 / 1000 = 2.5 m

Floating center (B) is the buoyant force acting on the central point of the weight of the volume of liquid will move.
